Will our world come tumbling down?

My dear,

My Dear,

You lie there everyday, motionless,
Waiting for me, without complains.

I treat you badly;
I hit you whenever i pick you up,
Hitting all those dirty yellow things away.

No complains.

Sometimes i break your heart,
and that's when i change.

Racket racket, dearest racket.

Word Skimming Pt. II

Cont'd from yesterday: Cynical.

Fact: Everyone is cynical. From book 'Sway: The Irresistible Pull of Irrational Behaviour" by Ori and Rom Brafman, everybody always considers losing something, = pessimistic view = cynical.

Fresh start?

3 changes of teachers: Econs, Maths and GP results in a terrible start to term 3. Add to that an incredibly annoying bus trip home, and you get fatigued.

It wasn't until a damn fed up woman shouted at the two kids to shut up, who were amazingly and extraordinarily noisy (add to that their mother didn't care) which made everything ever so much better. How i wanted to thank that woman!

Moving on to the role of parenting and its efficiency in today's age of new parents (Not applicable to our parents)

Parenting efficiency only occurs when there is allocative and productive efficiency.

Productive efficiency occurs when there the children are controlled at the most energy saving method. This is almost always never achieved nowadays as parents simply do not care about their freak noisy children.

Allocative efficiency occurs only when the right amount of parents are provided for the right amount of kids. Assuming that there can only be two parents, any which exceed the given 2 results in inefficiency. However, there are certain cases in which this is feasible, and as such this theory may not apply to all parents with >2 kids, ceteris paribus.
__________________________________
The presence of externalities also gives rise to parenting failure. Externalities are praising/scolding inflicted by other people (other than the parents) on the children, for which no compensation is given.

Youth day Holiday

How wonderful.

A day off. And yet, it has to be wasted on going for a haircut due to hair check on Tuesday.

How wonderful.

Bonus!

Hoped the new colour is okay for the eyes. I find it pleasantly pleasing. :)

Took Lit exam this morning, with a compare and contrast between two poems and an essay on given text, Wuthering Heights. Wasn't very sure of the quality of the work, but was quite happy to be actually able to produce something when the skill was kinda rusty.

With the end of the exam marked the end of the MYE for us. That equates to friday off, plus normal long weekend and monday off in lieu of youth day. 4 Days added to freedom.

Current age taboo

Sneeze now, and people stare at you, as if you're a freak show of sorts, or perhaps you're are some monster in disguise.

Sneeze now, and you will gain a circle of area approximately 10000pi cm^2 around you.

Sneeze now, and generous people might offer you a mask.

Sneeze now, and some hysteric and paranoid person might just pick up their phone and call 993, or give you money to see a doctor.

Just a harmless thought

As of yesterday, (as it's today now), number of confirmed H1N1 cases had risen to 701, and out of those 281 have been treated and are well now.

Taking the bus to the mrt, which i admittedly hate so much, i stopped and ponder due to the over-common overcrowding that can be seen in buses throughout Singapore. No, it's not that the overcrowding is a pandemic by itself (though i would admit that it somewhat is,) i thought, "since the government so desperately wants to curb this virus in the 'mitigation stage', their main aim should be to minimise mass interaction." And, looking back into where i was standing, i felt that to be extraordinarily ironic, as the bus was FREAKING OVERCROWDED.

So much for their effort at contact tracing and what not.
