Curious case of missing papers Monday, September 28, 2009

As mentioned previously, GP exam was on saturday. We were supposed to collect our history mock exam paper that very same day, but i forgot; i had already taken the bus near the MRT. Feeling a sense of urgency and guilt, i decided to go back to school and take the papers - for comments, which may help to improve my essay writing.

Went up to the locker and tried to find my paper. Missing. Ok. Might be with friends. Asked classmates, none had it. Ok. Started to panic.

Then this morning, received this message from the tutor:

"Dear all,

I am severely disappointed with the class.

a. I found Ziyi's paper ON the pigeonhole cabinets. The person who left it there has been extremely irresponsible as it could have simply be blown away by strong wind."

Extremely pissed off. How not wonderful.

Promos-Don't know Sunday, September 27, 2009

Promos started yesterday with GP. Though it was disastrous, the comprehension especially, there isn't really anything I can do now.

Spent the night watching F1 from OCBC building, and just need to say that the sound of the car engines revving is, a symphony that can never go wrong. Your adrenaline level shoots up from the pure sound of that engine, and when you get to see an F1 car that close, you get a memorable experience like no other.

Good luck for you guys' promos; though i think they haven't started.

Into the darkness Friday, September 25, 2009

I turned back, looking at the obstacle strewn road which has been disintegrated by my odyssey up till now.

Looking forward, I see darkness. It seized me, slowly squeezing every drop of sanity that is left in this battered and war-stricken body.

I looked forward once more, unmoved.

Interesting Incident. Wednesday, September 16, 2009

Was on the bus, going home with classmates. The bus was a single-decker handicap equipped wheelchair accessible bus. If you have gotten on one before, you would know that the platform at the back is basically empty most of the time; no one wants to go up there and stand.

At one bus-stop, a particular man came on board. A few seconds upon the closing of the doors, he asked "Why you all don't want to move in?" I ignored him, thinking it wasn't directed at me. Then he repeated it again, and I looked at him, thinking he wanted my precious and undivided attention. I said nothing and moved back, allowing a space for him to move to the back as he wanted so. When he walked past me and my classmates, we could smell (literally) an air of smoke around him. Yes a smoker. No wonder the haze is back.

Then i told my classmates, I should have asked "Do you know you can't smoke on the bus?". And I was at the front of the bus, and he blamed me.

Wow.

My fault for not being able to rally the masses to move to the back of the bus. Bet he doesn't know the platform is dangerous. Emergency stop = Ticket to the hospital.

What the hell? Smoke already nothing else to do. What a fag.

Light has the fastest speed. Rubbish. Light 'stops' when we sleep. Time doesn't. It drains us until we are slowly wasted.

Yes, it's meant in a sarcastic way.

Econs lecture on Macroeconomics - policies to deal with economic growth. The lecturer was basically just a set of lecture notes with mouth and an annoying voice, with irregular injections of attempted (yet dry) humour. There was also the buzzing sound of a loose sound in jack, causing the speakers to produce a sound which is horrendous to the point of awaking the dead.

September holidays. Or not?

Correct if I'm wrong, but i seem to think that holidays aren't really holidays anymore; with respect to the amount of time we actually spend relaxing and having a good time. While now, we just spend all our time studying like dogs on a leash. And what's more, bring in a couple of E-learning and you will have a perfect blend of study freaks.
